Step 57 : Nambawan

So ... was at home..
Studying...
Then mom called...
"oi... I taking half day leave... I come back we go eat lunch"
I was like.. har... ok lar... can lar... we go... o.O

At the back of my head.. owhh noo... dah la cannot study wanna go lunch some more...
sigh.. so didn't wanna disappoint mom..
So we went to some corner of PJ...
Taman Sri Manja

I kid you not... Nambawan...
Well its better than the one I saw at Sentul
Restaurant V _ r g _ N _....

So mom said it was really good...
The chef... stayed in Germany..
Moved to Singapore... Worked in 5 star hotel
Er.. so right.. whats he doing operating this cheapo place...
Really it looked quite cheapo...


Hmm I had this grilled lamb with garlic mint sauce I think
Can't seem to remember names.. sigh
It was ok.. the cut of meat was think..
It was barely 0.5cm....
But the marination and the sauces was cool...

Mom had this....
Its called as the name says...
Apparently their chieu pai (famous dish)
And it was fantastic =)
haha.. it was.. really..
It was a nice cut of pork....
Appropriate fat to meat ratio...
Goes well with the sauce.. =)

By far the best pork chop I've tasted lar...
so thumbs up
Owh.. yes.. we also had mushroom soup...
Sigh... my web browsers are acting up on me.. =.=

Really....
My Safari which I have been using...
Refused to open my blogspot..
Why?? it said that I need to enable Java scripts and cookies...
Which I DID.... =.=
Sigh.. I really like using Safari .. but now its -.-
Then my Internet Explorer 8... stupid buggish IE8
It hangs... it doesn't allow me to drag and edit my email properly...
DOn't let me attach things properly... argh...
Else I would put the mushroom soup pic first before the pork belly.. =.=
And not to mention the SPacings...
Its soo stupid.. Enter... ok spaced down..
But its not actually spaced down.. its just showing me its spaced down
need to press Shift+Enter... twice.. then only It will leave a line
At least Safari enter once gau tim =.=

well that's the 2 I have on my com currently...
And its soo irritating.. don't plan on putting on another... =.=

Simple toasts and soft boiled eggs...
Their week day breakfast menu.. quite worth it...

RM3.99 for well.. a hot coffee, 2 soft boil eggs + single layer toast
I think its good value =)

AS little faith as I have...
I have done as much as I can..
It is only God who can do the rest ...

I can't say I deserve all that I received
I'm struck by my own words which I shared past week end
"you don't deserve it if you did not put effort in it"
All I can do is expect a miracle...

Step 53 : New Gear + A fresh start

My baby camera has got some new gear =) WOOT!!!
ok to start things off... 2 new filters =)
One Pro1d Uv filter for my 18-200mm
And a heliopan SH-PMC for my 50mm =)

okay... apart from that got a new super fast memory card as well

Spent a lot this week..
But its quite good investment =)
Only need to actually get this now.. and no longer in the future =)

SO yes... went out ate more and more stuff as per usual
Sushi Zanmai...
Not a bad place.. but I did not take that many pics...
Only a few to wet and tempt your appetite


Salmon Sushi always hits the right spot right =)
These are to me one of the best you can find around for not so crazy of a price
Many times a lot of Sushi restaurants nowadays really give you cheapo salmon
Too thin lar.. no kick lar.. not fresh lar.. The ones here are highly impressive =)

So in the afternoon ...
I watched Angels and Demons...
Found the show a waste of time
Think National Treasure..
Only a larger version.. its sad.. really..
Conspiracy and dirty tricks.. =.=
Really.. so what...
Doesn't seem soo fancy after all =.=


Went to Murni's at SS2 before YE practice Thursday...
I must say there has been a bad decline in their food quality...
I had the carbonara and it sucked..
So watery.. like drink soup spaghetti
Yes I noticed.. the picture spelled Speghetti instead of Spaghetti...
Purposely wan =)

Its been such a Highly Underwhelming week... No highlights...
No Interesting events... No Wow thats cool... only much anguish and things that make you cringe
Nonetheless.. life goes on and the wheels turn without you trying to do anything....

I really am looking forward to that fresh start...

Step 52 : More about Mother's day

Hmm Basically only spend the evening with Mom...
She had her own things to do through out the day...
So she aso din't want me haha


U.S.S Enterprise
haha i think its quite cool
mom loved the movie...
Syler acted in it haha SPOCK....

Went with mom for dinner at Ikea...

For those unfamiliar with Ikea's menu...
And always thought that Ikea is only a place for furniture...
Guess again... This is known as pearched salmon or something like that
Basically steamed/boiled salmon slice with a kinda sauce..
Served with potato chunks and brocolli

Their chicken wings are regular roasted wings...
But may be a bit pricey

Rm 3.90 for 2 and Rm9.00 for 5
Tastes fairly good... Prefer this over KFC wings

This is their signature item I think
Its very nicely roasted meat balls served with I think its mushroom sauce + jam
Not too sure about the mushroom sauce though
Comes with fries as well

Last but not least...
Daim Cake...
Unique choc flavoured cake ...White chocolate
Smooth.. =)
A must try... Must eat haha

They have other dishes as well actually
Among some... Foot long sausage =)
And their mash potato is quite decently good

IKEA =)
I feel like going again >.<

Step 51 : What about me??

So right... its been a busy week end as per usual...
None of the week ends end without being busy....
Every week holds new and exciting challenges... right right??

Before that last Friday,
Went out with Kevin to Sakae Sushi
They have a new menu with many other new stuff
Among some, Gyu Sushi (beef/cow sushi)
You mite freak out cause its technically lightly seared = 10%
Which means 90% = RAW
But it really has quite a flavour to it...
It may seem quite disgusting at first.. with the raw texture...
but if u can appreciate it.. its well... cool la
to me... its just ok

This here is Beef Tataki...
in short its Cow Shashimi... This is exactly what goes on to the beef sushi...
As you can see.. its practically RAW... and bloody...
But it does taste quite good.. goes well with the sauce that comes
I don't think this is normal beef that you can just purchase in the supermarket

Alright... next... More BIRD rice....
This one particularly from Jalan Gasing .. Apparently famous Ipoh Kai fan

Ok their Bird to me wasn't that fantastic...
Slightly soft.... and lightly flavoured ....
Their Sauce however really give it the boost..
Its more of a whole package rather than just eating chicken rice
There was

Their Siew Yoke(roast pork) not bad... boleh pakai wan...
Their Char siew (bbq pork) cannot beat the one in Aman Suria which is fantastic
There were also other things like bola babi ... Taugeh....

Sunday was mother's day... Being mothers day...

Decided to bring mom for Star trak... Pulled Kenny to come buy the ticks with me
We went eat some Lum Mee for lunch near Uptown...
Technically that place is BU... hmm BU don't know wad lar =p

This lum mee is to me the best I know off
There seems to be another some where in KL but highly unfamiliar to me lar

Step 49 : Why am I here

I was out with a very dear friend of mine last Tuesday evening
And she asked me (paraphrased) Why do You go to CHURCH??

My direct answer was.. it is more fulfilling cause its a higher calling to do things there...


But now when I thought about it again... It wasn't really my choice...
I was just called to it...
And being in it... I just know that I've been chosen and hand picked by a power so great...
Its impossible to say I want to leave this place...

I was never trained... neither was I thought the ways and process to it which I know
It will come soon that strength which you need... don't worry just belive and have faith

Step 48 : Mediocre weekend

Alright... this is how it went...


It was one of those... preparing for college thingies...
A lot of good points... plenty of conservative ones... a couple of random ones...
And I've come to terms with the mentality of older individuals with young kids...
I saw a bunch of aunty and uncles who wanted the best..
But don't really see ways of bringing out the best...

Well to me.. Hearts cannot really be questioned...
If the heart is Good the heart is Good...
If the heart is Bad... then it is Bad
The act that follows reflect the heart...

I accept it as this and its only my 2 cents...
People like to define the heart with the act that happens..
When in fact a bad act doesn't reflect a bad heart...
This goes vice versa

SO in fact... to me.. the act doesn't justify the heart...
Neither is the act a reflection of the true spirit man...

A change of heart... now... hmm is that possible??
I think yes... rare??
Yes...

So if you don't understand anything I wrote up there..
IN SHORT

The heart is not reflected by the action
Neither
Is the action reflective of the heart....

Now if you're thinking
THIS CANNOT BE?? I DISAGREE... bla bla bla bla because of this and that its like this..

I tell you this... its the mind that you have forgotten about... the heart says one .. the mind says another and the body acts ... the heart is the generator of the mind.. but the mind has the ability to lie.. even to the heart...

It funny why I'm thinking for both sides to an argument.. =.= argh

Moving on.... more FOODD...

So Tabby, Matthew Corban and I went with Miss Rosemarie to the air port...
Not before dropping by for...
*drumm rolls*

Food at Jalan 222... Hokkien mee... aka... foookin chow... (sounds like bad word)
THe best in town..
THe one we ordered was the one with mihoon and mee...
A must try =)

The clam/lala was just alright.. and the bird had an excellent flavour...

Thats about it... I'm too lazy to describe the food...
The :s of the week end has gotten to my head...
It din't suck... just that it din't give me the motivation to face the following week...
2-3 days of class/ intensive course
A few practices here and there... meetings tooo.... and the following week end will be here
So... I shall look forward to NEXT SAT... =)

Step 47 : Labour Day

Day out at FRIM...
Woke up super early in the morning...
only to take mom with he cell group to FRIM...
Of course I only had 1 mission
Get a few pictures... but.. I think i failed badly.. my pictures sucks this round

This is.. or shud I say... was the only shot I thought was acceptable....
However this shot it self.. banyak spoiler inside.. but if u like it.. let me know =)

There are these steps up thiss hill where the river technically comes from lar...
Quite a climb for fat people like me =p

What kinda day would it be if it din't end with Dim sum rite...
I din't really bother snapping much cause my mom was there...
So yeah

Sad things happen... here's the story....
SO... I drove mummy to FRIM....
Then we decided to tell the CG members
to have a walk first while we went to scout the area for a place to go..
Then right.. we drove along eventually we came to this area...
It had a one lane road and the side of the roads for 'soft road' or just normal non tared road lar
Then I decided.. lets not go here lar.. the other side is the 'correct' place....
Then mummy said ok lar.. U-turn lar...
So i stick the car onto the soft part of the road...so that Reverse and turn back out lar...
While reversing.... this loud CRak sound came out... followed by scratches =(
It sounded like the bottom... SO if u're in that position already... really cannot do much
Went straight infront.. and CRAKKK.... 2nd time =( this time in front...
Straight away I knew something was wrong oreadi ....
True enough... THe bumper got one dent lubang d =(

Then when the car turns a full right...
the tire actually rubs against the back of the bumper... =(
Owh noo.. more repairs... sigh....

Step 46: Bubba Gump Shrimp

ITS EXPANSIVE!!!!
ITS own by NAZA group
ITS CRAZYYYY EXPANSIVE
They have a cute shrimp mascot

However it is an interesting dining experience

Okay so here's what we ordered...
They had set menus what comes with...

Garden Salad
Garlic Bread
Refillable soft drink...
A choice of one of 4 different main courses


Owhkay.. their ribs was just owhkay... nothing fantastic...
To me.. the better ribs rite..
is at Victoria Station - Prime Ribs
TGIF their Jack Daniel's Ribs....
of all I like TGIF one better... =)
More juicy

The fish... well it was ok... very fishy..
Well duh its fish.. but it was quite a tangy fishy portion
The Shrimps that came with it was nice...=)

Other stuff that came with the set was ...
A choice of coffee or tea
And a desert
A choice between a choc sundae...
Or a strawberry jam ice cream cake
The serving portion was quite huge... I was stuffed...
But here's the thing.. the set was priced for the set was RM55 per set... which was quite cool

The ala carte menu on the other hand...
The BBQ ribs.. RM62.... !#$%^.... like WHATTT
RM62 for THATT... mind you its without the set of everything..
JUST THE RIBS =.=

There was this thingy which was quite cool.. which I din't really Try
I think its called Shrimp Heaven .... its a basket of assorted fried shrimps
This I recommend if you ever go there...

SO right... I may not ever go there again..
Except to fulfill a promise to a little girl I made on October 16 =)
Don't worry I still remember.. I just haven't had the time
