Step 117 : Triping - Ipoh

The Raya holidays has been tremendous.
Like really...
To get to sit down relax and really not bother about much is so much a blessing
Much needed recuperating time...
R&R

So here are some pictures for those who have been looking out for them
Would appreciate comments and all as it would probably spurr me
To continue blogging again

Over the week end, followed Sarah's family down for a trip
To Ipoh, Taiping and then to Penang.

It started of slightly bumpy as it rained and drizzled all the way.
The rain kept coming on and off..

When we got to Ipoh Town...
Honestly I'm not sure if this is Ipoh Town Center or just some area on the way
We stopped for what was the famous Ipoh dim sum

Apparently its super good and it gets packed out even during week days
on the non peak period...


Unfortunately by the time we got there =.=
They were mostly sold out...


They said they started work at 4am
By the time we got there it was 11am already.. so ya...
Nothing much left

Standard stuff lar..
Siew Mai and Har Gau...

Lau Mai Kai


After that, we moved on to Thean Chun
This one I'm positive is in the center of Ipoh Town =)


This shop is famous for its Hor Fun

Which to me was one of the BEST noodles I had on this trip...

Chilli Chee Cheong Fun


and
Pork Satay


The chee cheong fun was fair...
But the pork satay was really interesting...
Its actually quite a chewy in a bouncy way if u get what I mean

Step 74 : Outing with Chi leads

Went out with the Chi leads last Sat for fun
To catch up and spend some time with them lar..

One group went eat durian...
Like.. all you can eat durian...
But we din't join them lar for various reasons..

So more food
The place...
Wong Kok Char Chan Teng
Basically... Fusion, 'Hong Kong' style food...

Cheese baked rice...
They have 5 different choices of sauces...
italian red sauce, some sort of white sauce, Portuguese sauce, mushroom sauce

A lot of sauces.. but they kinda suck..
I had the beef rice with mushroom sauce thingy
It was quite flat honestly...
ok they gave a little more meat in comparison to Kim Gary
But the flovour looses lar

Anna had this...
Looked ok...
Nice big bowl... =)
Mangkuk Besar


Ok what's cool about this place is their drinks
Yeah a bit pricey...
But quite unique
from the left if my memory serves me correctly
Flaming Sun....
Devil's Fairy Tale (which I had)
And the last one I don't know how to spell
Chocolate banane or something like that
The drinks were interesting.. the food not so

ok there was this one thing
That seemed quite weird...
So weird things... wad to do??
Must try rite.. so Tim and I did

Cheese Taiwan sausage pancake
=.=

Yes... it sucked...
They had like huge chunks of onions
They tasted raw =.=
and the Taiwan sausages wasnn't nice at all =.=
REALLY BAD

Oklar.. so after that we went join up with the group...
had some lin chee kang and some ho tai ye(sea coconut)
The sea coconut drink thingy is good...
Wai Sek Kai SS2...
RM2 bucks for one nice bowl =)

Step 69 : Update ... woot..!!

Well... Its been a busy week...
Oh God please multiply MY time.. =(
Need strength too...


These 2 are from Sushi Zanmai...
I amazingly cannot remember what the sushi is called...
but the salmon on rice thing is Salmon Don...


This is from Nambawan again...
BBQ pork Rib...

I'm quite bummed...
so I've got nth much to comment about the food

This song's been in my head...

Step 47 : Labour Day

Day out at FRIM...
Woke up super early in the morning...
only to take mom with he cell group to FRIM...
Of course I only had 1 mission
Get a few pictures... but.. I think i failed badly.. my pictures sucks this round
Comment if u think other wise...

This is.. or shud I say... was the only shot I thought was acceptable....
However this shot it self.. banyak spoiler inside.. but if u like it.. let me know =)

There are these steps up thiss hill where the river technically comes from lar...
Quite a climb for fat people like me =p

What kinda day would it be if it din't end with Dim sum rite...
I din't really bother snapping much cause my mom was there...
So yeah

Sad things happen... here's the story....
SO... I drove mummy to FRIM....
Then we decided to tell the CG members
to have a walk first while we went to scout the area for a place to go..
Then right.. we drove along eventually we came to this area...
It had a one lane road and the side of the roads for 'soft road' or just normal non tared road lar
Then I decided.. lets not go here lar.. the other side is the 'correct' place....
Then mummy said ok lar.. U-turn lar...
So i stick the car onto the soft part of the road...so that Reverse and turn back out lar...
While reversing.... this loud CRak sound came out... followed by scratches =(
It sounded like the bottom... SO if u're in that position already... really cannot do much
Went straight infront.. and CRAKKK.... 2nd time =( this time in front...
Straight away I knew something was wrong oreadi ....
True enough... THe bumper got one dent lubang d =(

Then when the car turns a full right...
the tire actually rubs against the back of the bumper... =(
Owh noo.. more repairs... sigh....

Step 24 : Sushi Zanmai

The best budget sushi place in town =) Sushi Zanmai.. Yes Budget...
No...no... wait yes I know sushi is expansive =.=
But hear me out for a while =)

So yes ... comparing all the 'cheaper' sushi places in town ...
(Eh I did not say cheap ar =.=)
This restaurant has the best value to quality for the food they serve...
The salmon sushi is RM3.90/2 piece of salmon sushi...
Buttt the salmon is fater than the others... and nice =)
Comparing to Sushi King, Sakae Sushi and what not...
So yes their donburi is decently priced...
RM9.90 for a simple small Chicken Katsu don is reasonable... =)
Really wan =p....

So yes they have all sorts of food lar
Udon, Soba, Nigiri Sushi,Gunkan sushi, temakies, sashimi and more =)

Haha surely a common place for sushi lovers to eat.. =p

So was there last week end with Cheryl..
ended the day with meeting up with Brian Siew's LG
aka my Lg =).... and we had ice cream...
One of the kind church members bought the whole quad for us =)

Haha such a great happy week end outing=)
Hmm but then rite...on the way back from church....
behold I stumbled upon a poor friend
who just skidded and landed on a divider...

Such a dangerous position... against traffic o.O
Thank God nothing happen to him and only his poor Honda City Got some bruises
and
In car terms can be considered a broken leg...
I do not know the extent of the damage but I think its a broken strut ..
The thing that holds the wheels and the drive train together...
But I would not know.. thank God for his protection =)

Step 22 : Chinese New Year Day 3

Kenny and I today decided to visit pastor Steven...
After hanging around at his house for a little while...
Ps decided to take us out for something sweet.. =)

I tell you it was sooo good...
But rite... +.+ soo fattt already ler...
The amount of food over CNY...
WAH..... not fat aso bluff haha

But am grateful for the food haha =)
You should try it... D'lish and Delicious foods are really good....
If want any suggestions.. come come ask me hehheh

So yes a new lens.. =)
At last muahahahahahah

Apparently I get bored very fast =.=
Brain wiring went wrong ahhaha....
Sifu Rachel Hoo suggested to play around with some high speed shots....
So yes sifu... I will try my best SIFU... I won't let you down sifu...
I will make you proud sifu =) Don't kembang too big sifu hahahah...

Step 5 : A veil of stress

Exams are over thank Goodness....

But just as exams are over things seem to get worst....
Exam stress practically hides the reality and graveness of things... Exams are an excuse to evade from responsibility...

Ow well.. dont know if i can actually pass everything a not...
hopefully can lar... =) praying really hard


Went out with Katrina Shak today.... Had lunch.....
bought a new plushie for my mom's new car....
Played some pool...

Ben & Nick's Diner.... Its quite a good place great food...
Some are pricey some are cheap...


Last bit for the day... a special recognition for my dear friend...
Melody Ng Su Ann

She's got a few nick names... Grasshopper Ng... Noob Grasshopper... Mel Noob... Noob Mell.... which ever way you like it...Why noob... ask Sam Siah.... Grass hopper why?? here's why

One day on the way back... Jasmyn a fellow class mate was in the car... They went pump petrol on the way back to their houses after a day out together... So Jas saw this huge grass hopper on the dash board... so she asked Mel... "Eh Mel, That grass hopper real or fake wan?? You put there wan ar?" Mel said.. " Huh wad grasshopper.... " Jas, "there... on top there"
Then when Mel realised there was a grass hopper there....
She started screaming and she slammed the break and stop the car....
Imagine.. driving half way.. den AHHHHHHH!!!!
*breaks hard*

Then Jas gave me a call...I could hear Mel screaming in the back ground "Help!!!Help!!!"
really amusing

Haha Mel thank You....
You make life and studying ACCA that much more fun =)
